What v2rayN is
v2rayN is a free, open-source GUI client for Windows, macOS and Linux. It runs Xray and sing-box cores and connects over VLESS (including REALITY), VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks, Hysteria2 and more. It's aimed at users who like control over settings; if you just want one button, Happ or the Vetryx app is simpler.
Which file to download
Official releases: github.com/2dust/v2rayN/releases. There's no installer — you unzip and run.

Builds ending in -desktop are the same program with a different UI framework. Not sure? Take the regular one.
Adding a subscription
- Unzip and runExtract to its own folder (e.g. C:\v2rayN) and run v2rayN.exe.
- Add the subscriptionOpen the subscription settings, click Add, paste your subscription URL and give it a name.
- Update the subscriptionServers appear in the list.
- Pick a serverSet it as active (double-click or Enter). Test latency from the context menu.
Single keys can be imported from the clipboard with Ctrl+V in the main window.
System proxy or TUN
- System proxy — browsers and apps that use Windows proxy settings. Toggle it in the bottom panel.
- TUN — all traffic, including games and messengers. Requires running v2rayN as administrator.
In system proxy mode, browsers can leak your real IP via WebRTC — check with our VPN check and switch to TUN if needed.
Troubleshooting
- Sites open without the VPN — system proxy or TUN isn't on.
- Server doesn't respond — update the subscription, test latency, pick another server or protocol.
- TUN won't turn on — restart v2rayN as administrator.
- Antivirus deletes core files — add the v2rayN folder to exclusions.
- Old version — newer server settings need newer cores; update from GitHub.

FAQ
Which v2rayN file should I download for Windows?
v2rayN-windows-64.zip for a regular PC. Files ending in -desktop are the same program with a different interface; arm64 builds are for ARM laptops.
v2rayN is connected but my browser doesn't use the VPN — why?
The system proxy probably isn't enabled. Turn it on in the bottom panel or use TUN mode to route all traffic.
Is there v2rayN for Android or iPhone?
No. v2rayN is for desktop. The same developer's Android client is v2rayNG; there's no iOS version.
