Happ: setup and troubleshooting

Quick version: copy your subscription link → open Happ → tap + → paste from clipboard → pick a server and connect.
What Happ is
Happ (Happ — Proxy Utility) is a free cross-platform client built on the Xray core, by Flyfrog LLC. It supports VLESS (including REALITY), VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks, Socks and Hysteria2, plus regular and encrypted (happ://crypto…) subscriptions. Happ doesn't include servers — the developers state they don't sell or provide server access.

Official site: happ.su (new domain happ.info). For Windows 7/8 and older macOS, the developer keeps a legacy version 1.0.2.
Adding a subscription
- Copy your subscription linkFrom your VPN service's account page or bot. In Vetryx: your account → Copy.
- Tap + in HappTop right corner of the main screen.
- Paste from clipboardHapp loads the server list. If the link came as a QR code, scan it instead.
- ConnectPick a server and connect. On first use, allow the VPN configuration.
To refresh servers, pull the list down or tap the refresh icon next to the subscription. On Android TV, Happ offers to receive the subscription from your phone via QR code on first launch.
TUN vs Proxy on desktop
- TUN (default in recent versions) routes all traffic — browsers, games, messengers. It relies on the Happ background service, so the installer asks for admin rights.
- Proxy covers browsers and apps that use the system proxy. If the service can't be installed, the installer offers to finish in Proxy mode.
Recent versions include a "Reset service" action that repairs the background service; reinstalling also works.
Error messages

Happ connects but nothing loads
- Refresh the subscription — servers may have changed.
- Pick another server, ideally with a different protocol (REALITY ↔ Hysteria2 or XHTTP).
- Check your subscription hasn't expired and your device limit isn't full.
- Close other VPNs and proxies; check the device's date and time.
- Run a VPN check to see which IP and country websites see.

Is Happ free?
Yes, the app is free. It doesn't include servers — you need a subscription from a VPN service.
Is there Happ for Windows?
Yes. Official installers for Windows (x64 and ARM64), macOS and Linux are on the developer's GitHub page Happ-proxy/happ-desktop and on happ.su.
What does "Timeout while adding a subscription" mean in Happ?
Happ waits 9 seconds for the subscription server to respond. Check your internet connection or try another network, such as Wi-Fi instead of mobile data.
